Description:

Leidos has an opening for a Data Center Technician located at Hunter Army Airfield. Candidates must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered. The individual will provide the 75th Ranger Regiment Data Center Management support in the areas of Systems Engineering, Hardware Support, Software Support, OCONUS Hardware/Software Support, Stand-alone Test Network, and Disaster Recovery. Provide all facets of systems engineering expertise to support current and future requirements within requisite data centers. Plan for, design, develop, test, integrate, and monitor and analyze systems and services across all networks represented within the Regiment’s organization, currently JWICS, SIPRnet, NIPRnet, commercial Internet, and, optionally, Combined Operations Wide Area Network (COWAN) and Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS). Provide Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 systems engineering support for all systems and services, including server and storage performance and process management, architecture, design, configuration, and technology management. In addition, support IA operations, server and storage security management and protection, QA, and transition management activities governing data center systems and services. Hardware Support: Provide hardware support to the Regiment’s organization, including managing existing and future hardware resources and delivering services using existing hardware resources. Software Support: Manage all aspects of the Regiment’s software license management activities, including managing the license data repository and software licensing. Track information using configuration item (CI) and CI attribute information within the provided software license data repository. OCONUS Hardware/Software Support: Potential to provide hardware and software support for all OCONUS activities, whether permanent or temporary. Perform requisite functions during short-notice and rapid-insertion scenarios, providing seamless and continuous support to deployed personnel. Stand-alone Test Network:

Manage and maintain a stand-alone test network that mirrors the operational production environment and use the test network to simulate and test all integration efforts before introduction into the production environment. 

Disaster Recovery:

Provide support to an offsite disaster recovery and distributed computing site. Manage backup and recovery systems so that data restoration can be accomplished according to recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) defined in the associated SLAs.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related experience. (Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree). Current Sec+ certification required.

 

Desired skills: Demonstrated systems administration experience including administering user accounts, backup/restore experience, security practices/tuning, user administration, software and hardware installation/maintenance, system installation, file management and system troubleshooting 

· Solid foundation in managing Microsoft Active Directory to include, DNS, Group Policy, Site architecture and Domain Trusts; Exchange Server 2010 environment; SQL Server 2008; Office Communication/Lync Server; Windows Server Update Services; and System Center environments 

·Experience with NetApps Snap Manager, Syncsort or equivalent enterprise data de-duplication and backup software 

· Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 (v3) certifications: ITIL v3 Foundation Certification 

· ITIL v3 Intermediate Qualification for Continual Service Improvement (CSI) - Prior service in or support for US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Domain Knowledge/Expertise. Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System environment.
