Systems and IT Analyst        Office locations--Peoria IL or St. Louis MO  
 
Leidos is a premier national engineering-based management consulting firm.  We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team in Peoria Illinois or our office in St Louis MO (telecommuting is also an option), as a Systems and IT Analyst. This is a strategically important position that will have a large impact on an already successful organization that provides energy program design, implementation and consulting.  This position is in support of an energy efficiency programs.  

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, maintain, and manage databases and applications. The position will be responsible for working with a database management systems software, including Salesforce, SQL Server, and Microsoft Access

Determine best possible way to securely organize, store and retrieve data.  
Support user training and advise management on technology changes and improvements to best support business/customer needs.

 


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Science degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must have prior experience specifying and building database systems, while following a software development life cycle (SDLC) process.
  • Must be a team player, dedicated to program support, capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlines. She/he must be well organized, reliable, conscientious, and be capable of managing resources and schedules to meet deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects.
                          
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must be able to work with a set of business users to translate their business process and business requirements into technical requirements and design for the systems.  Must be able to facilitate discussions with several business users to help those users arrive at a common understanding of their needs. Must have well developed communication skills and be able to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely in both verbal and written format. 
Must be self-directed, proactive in learning about the ever changing software best practices to ensure that program software retains a high level of security and is able to provide increased functionality to remain competitive. 
 
DESIRED SKILLS:

Experience with Salesforce.com
APEX programming within the Salesforce.com environment
Technical experience with databases, web development, and user support.
Good background in database design, preferably using Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Background in programming languages, especially C#, JavaScript and  JQuery 
Skills in system integration including secure file transfer and loading
Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products.
Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines for an information system.
Experience with and Infusion Soft or other CMS systems  
Excellent English oral and written communication skills. 
Strong planning, organization, time management, and team-building skills with demonstrated ability to make unanticipated changes to production deliverables required
