Description:

The Integrated Systems Group of Leidos has a career opening for a Network Threat Support Specialist, JR located in Columbia, MD.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Network Threat Support Specialist, JR will be part of a team that conducts data evaluation with the goal of identifying how certain data feeds apply to customer situational awareness, countermeasures and mitigations, and Intelligence products.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Determine the threat to U.S. networks of interest posed by adversarial systems, activities or operations.

•Analyze, map, protect or discover vulnerabilities, intrusions and threats in computer network systems.

•Perform network intrusion incident response and network attack characterization and reconstruction.

•Perform technical analysis against target systems and networks, characterize target network capabilities and vulnerabilities, and support development of new techniques to exploit targets.

•Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and network operations officials.

•Develop and refine the daily operations of a growing DoD customer.

 


Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

•UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE.

 

•Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent formal military training with 2+ years of related experience in network and vulnerability analysis..

•Work experience must include 4+ years of Intelligence analysis experience within the DoD/IC.

• Have the ability to perform packet level analysis, Intrusion Detection, and Incident Handling. Be able to investigate and resolve highly complex operational matters.

• Must have experience in using test tools and writing scripts (Perl, Python, Ruby, etc) as needed to suit unique situations. Understanding of malware reverse-engineering.

Preferred tools/certs: Wireshark, Nessus, Snort, tcpdump, tcp wrapper, IDS (various), ISS scanner, eEye digital vulnerability scanner, Network +, NSA IAM, One or more of the following certifications: CCISP - Certified Critical Infrastructure Security Professional, CISM - Certified Information Security Manager, CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional, SSCP - Systems Security Certified Practitioner, GIAC - Global Information Assurance Certification, CSP - RSA Certified Security Professional, CPP - Certified Protection Professional
