Senior Liquid Propellant Analyst
Leidos is seeking a Senior Liquid Propellant Analyst to support a client’s operational requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
Successful candidates will work well in team environments and will be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to effectively interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION: In addition to the clearance requirement, successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of liquid propellant rocket motors for use in military systems. Industrial experience developing and modeling liquid rocket engines, turbo pumps, and control systems. Familiarity with propellant formulations, modeling formulations, and modeling motor performance. Experience with liquid propellant rocket engine manufacturing methods, tooling, procedures, and testing. Must have the ability to teach courses on liquid propellant rocket fundamentals, modeling, and manufacturing requirements. Must be willing to work with junior colleagues to mentor them. Must have a valid US passport.
The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance, with the possibility of attaining a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
The position requires 15-20 years of experience related to liquid propellant. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred.
