Sr. Principal Operations Support Officer
The Global Services Group has an opening for a Senior Principal Operations Support Officer (SPO) to support the National Ground Intelligence Center. The successful candidate will report to the Program Manager.
The Senior Operations Support Officer conducts planning for use of candidate personnel and manages administrative and logistics personnel in support of analytic efforts and conducts additional operations related functions as directed by the government PM, COR and Operations Technical Monitor. The SPO manages the activities of customer operations, administration and logistics support staff. The SPO coordinates with the Branch Senior Principal Analysts to provide operations support to the analytic effort. The SP0 is the senior member assigned to a branch monitored by a Government civilian or military Technical Monitor or the COR. The SPO performs his/her primary duties OCONUS and is not considered deployable, but may be required to travel on a short-term, temporary basis to CONUS an OCONUS locations to coordinate operational requirements. Candidate employees filling this position will be considered key personnel. The SPO coordinates with other activities as necessary to coordinate operational efforts and deployment of personnel. SPO works closely with the government PM, COR and Operations Technical Monitor to coordinate operational support activities.
This position requires individuals with 12 years of experience coordinating and managing operations in support of military forces, including planning and managing training, pre-deployment, deployment, sustainment and return of deployed and CONUS-based personnel. The candidate will be experienced with JWICS , SIPRNET and NIPRNET tools and databases used to support operations. The candidate will have a working knowledge of Microsoft® Office® tools, including SharePoint®.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree (may substitute 4 years of experience for education requirement).
A background as a military operations officer or NCO at major service or joint command level is desired. Master’s Degree preferred.
