Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION: This sub family is responsible for overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network. Duties may include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments. Support level duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment. IMPACT: Works on day-to-day objectives with limited impact beyond the scope of own work area/ project team. Works under supervision on less complex projects/ assignments. COMPLEXITY: Solves simple, routine technical problems following established procedures and policies. Develops products, solutions, processes using basic principles, theories and concepts within own technical specialty. COMMUNICATION: Communicates with peers to explain facts, basic analysis, processes and practices related to area. LEADERSHIP & TALENT MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE: Requires basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of narrow technical domain. TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience. EFFECTIVE DATE: 01/02/2016
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in integrating and configuring communications applications such as Exchange, Skype, Calendar to Provide a Unified user experience. - DHS experience - Security+ certification - MCSA or MCITP certification - knowledge/experience ITSM tools - Microsoft certified professional Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Entry level.
