Serves as Info Assurance Engineer specializing in Information Assurance. Provide security engineering for system design, risk identification, implementation of controls, processes, and documentation in accordance with guidelines, policies, strategies and requirements. Ensure that system security requirements are managed and addressed throughout the system lifecycle thereby ensuring system security compliance and approval for system operation. Participate in system change technical review process, security requirements testing development and approval, and security assessments that establish and maintain appropriate security posture for the program. Performs system certification and accreditation (C&A) planning and testing and liaison activities, and supports secure systems operations and maintenance. Provide information assurance/information security technology and organizational security engineering. Provide lifecycle planning, support and development of all aspects of system certification and accreditation (C&A) from initiation through authority to operate (ATO). This position location is in the Washington Metropolitan Area.




Ability to obtain Public Trust. Minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience in information assurance, and a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field" Must have experience working with various security methodologies and processes, knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) protocols, knowledge and experience configuring and implementing a diverse array of technical security solutions, and experience providing analysis and trending of security log data from a large number of heterogeneous security devices. Candidates shall also be proficient in at least one programming language, have experience with reverse engineering tools, a variety of operating systems and open source computer forensic tools, and a working understanding of computer forensic techniques and methodologies. " Minimum of one (1) year professional experience in network or UNIX/Linux system administration, software engineering, software development, and/or a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field Preference to have at least one of the following certifications: CompTIA: CASP, Cloud+, Network +, Security +, Linux+ SANS: any SANS Cert Offensiv Security: any Carnegie Mellon: any ISC2: any Cisco: any EC Council: any EnCase: EnCE DoD 8570: IAT L1 Experience in cyber government, and/or federal law enforcement. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
