The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a continuing requirement for Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services, & Support (SENS3) for the continued operations and maintenance and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). This requirement was previously called Enterprise Networked Services Support (ENSS). Supporting the SENS3 management team, the candidates will provide technical support through monitoring, tools, and infrastructure to ensure high availability of the HSDN and C-LAN networks. Specific support examples are following: - Ensure the availability of IT services and resources to meet mission requirements; - Monitor current availability of IT services, and if inadequate, recommend remediation to improve availability - Utilize automated monitoring tools to monitor transport network and server availability 24 x 7 x 365 and notify Government points of contact for both the system component(s) and site(s) for each outage; - Conduct availability trend analyses of assigned systems and services; - Document the outcome of these analyses and recommendations; - Initiate and capture data sources and trends across the operational security environments.
- 7+ years of ITSM experience using system or network monitoring and assessment tools; - Experience with hands-on knowledge and experience with Windows/Linux/Unix Operating Systems - Experience assessing and reporting availability trends - DHS Experience - Experience with using Ansible, Microsoft SCOM, Splunk, Solarwinds, ITSM ticking system, - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent interpersonal skills Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
