Field Engineer Sr
Leidos is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented individual looking to realize the rewards of maintaining innovative and complex systems. The TRITON program, located in located in North Yorkshire England, requires a motivated, engaged, and technically talented individual to join our team of diverse and extremely qualified professionals. The software applications team requires an individual with combined software engineering and system administration experience who can work in a structured configuration controlled environment, primarily focused on the support and maintenance of real-time software applications hosted on a broad range of computing platforms. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating operational software and infrastructure problems and providing immediate solutions to restore service (providing on-call 24x7 emergency anomaly response.) Responsibilities also include the integration and verification of new software baselines. A Single Scope Background Investigation and polygraph are required. CompTIA Security+ Certification is required.

Ability to monitor systems and provide accurate status (via reporting tools) Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot based on documented processes and procedures Strong Linux system administration skills Experience performing physical-to0virtual and virtual-to-virtual migrations VMware vSpere experience Hardware troubleshooting to the field replaceable unit level Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Ability to perform under pressure Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Security+ Certification System and network troubleshooting Software troubleshooting End user desktop support System administration experience to include UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Management Systems like HP Operations Manager is a plus. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
