The TRITON Program located in North Yorkshire, England is seeking an Engineering Crew (24x7) team member. The Engineering Crew provides direct 24x7 supports for detection, isolation, and resolution of ground segment problems. The position serves as a first responder for all site issues, requiring a broad level of knowledge of high priority systems across a multi-location enterprise. Engineering Crew performs 24x7 Tier 1 level monitoring, recognition, evaluation, and correction of system and network problems. As a remote Engineering Crew member, monitoring is the primary function of this position. The remote Engineering Crew interfaces with Mission Directors (MDs), Engineering Watch Officers (EWOs), and/or system operators as required for real-time detection, isolation, and resolution of problems. Engineering Crew members must be able to accurately document problems in logging and discrepancy reporting tools. They collect data describing the environment at the time of the failure and serve as a single point of contact for monitoring and troubleshooting. They escalate problems to Tier 2 level as required, performing call-ins as necessary. The remote Engineering Crew coordinates with any required resources across the Enterprise to resolve operational issues, working with other 24x7 engineering crews across multiple locations providing enterprise level maintenance support, with high visibility into all actions and response. The work environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of supported systems and networks. Engineering Crew members must be able to work effectively under pressure in restoring high priority systems back into operations. The position requires very good communication skills in order for the effective and accurate exchange of information across a multi-location enterprise, with customer visibility into crew based actions and response. Technical problems encountered have well defined processes and procedures to follow for resolution, contact, escalation, and both local and enterprise communications. The TRITON program supports a 24x7 mission critical customer environment. TRITON Program employees may be scheduled to work or be called in to work during off hours to meet customer mission support requirements. A Single Scope Background Investigation and polygraph are required. CompTIA Security+ Certification is required.
