Information Security Engineer
Information Systems Security Engineer role. The INFOSEC engineer will provide technical expertise to the customer in performance of a broad range of information assurance engineering tasks in the customer's environment. Tasks may include but are not limited to oversight, information gathering, or advice and assistance in vulnerability scanning and analysis according to policy; scheduling, execution and tracking of vulnerability remediation activities; security monitoring, analysis and response; tracking, and reporting of security patch/upgrade implementation; development of security policies, processes and procedures; development of information security documents; conducting security audits; workload estimating; development and delivery of presentations; security product trade studies; incident response; security test and evaluation; and STIG/Checklist auditing. The Cyber Security Architect will assist in the development and stand up of a Information Security Operations Center (ISOC). The tasking will include tool selection, procurement, engineering and deployment into a high profile dynamic environment. The successful candidate will also develop training materials to assist junior Cyber Analyst in staffing the ISOC. This position is considered critical and crucial to the overall success of the program.
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Demonstrated experience working with and standing up a Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Experience operating on a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT).
- Proven ability to work with difficult customers and achieve ambitious goals under difficult constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective interpersonal working relationships
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
