Job Summary and Primary Duties:
Mid-level Hardware Engineer required to support development and test of range instrumentation infrastructure. Candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all hardware aspects of a complex military development and test environment in support of international customer (Middle East). Candidate will assemble and test deployable rack systems including TDMA RF instrumentation and tracking systems, tactical communication systems and associated real time video monitoring systems. Candidate will support installation and test of deliverable systems overseas. Candidate will be responsible for development, test and fielding of RF instrumentation system and associated systems. Candidate will be responsible for identifying root causes of HW issues and fixing. Program Reports to HW Engineering Lead.
Extensive experience in Hardware engineering with an emphasis on RF and rack integration including radio base stations, tactical radios, audio and video recording systems. BS degree in technical field and 8+ years of experience OR equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated ability/willingness to operate in austere field environments.
Industry certifications in electronic disciplines
Experience with Thales – TRC-9310A tactical radios
Experience with integrating training systems with tactical vehicles.
Experience of Constructive Training Systems & MILES based Live Training Systems preferred. Travel REQUIRED.
