Configuration Control Management Specialist
Applicants will develop, implement, and continuously improve configuration management processes, checklists and recurring task assignments at the Air Force Squadron level. Specific tasks include but are not limited to the classification of systems, subsystems and services by form, fit and function; preparation of project-level and unit baseline documentation (e.g. engineering drawings, specifications, facility /room/ desk location diagrams, schedules and contract requirements, etc.); review of proposed baseline changes, system problem reports and change requests (AF FORM 1067) and analysis of their potential system architecture / operational mission impacts; conduct configuration audits and report results; records management/control; facilitate configuration control board execution; and maintain senior leader awareness of system architecture capacity, limitations and programmed / unprogrammed required improvements. Applicants will work directly with Squadron and higher headquarters personnel, acquisition agents and industry vendors at multiple security levels. Applicants must understand and possess practiced-usage of Air Force Policy Directive 63-1/20-1, Integrated Life Cycle Management and MIL-HDBK-61B, Configuration Management Guidance guidelines and procedures for the procurement and sustainment of components, services, and activities. Experience using Microsoft Office Professional is required. Microsoft Project and Vizio experience is highly desired.
Applicants will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer, information technology, and engineering or information management related field and at least 5 years’ experience in the management of DoD classified operating systems. TS/SCI security clearance is required to perform these duties
