Looking for an Electronics/Technician to join our team in our Mercury, NV office. Responsible for providing technical support to customers of the Electronic Systems Section to include providing maintenance, operation, fabrication, modification and installation of various security related electronic equipment such as automated access control systems, intrusion alarm systems, radar equipment, CCTV equipment, motion detectors, public address, intercoms, special-built security related equipment and computer related reporting systems. Ensures that work is executed in accordance with Integrated Safety Management (ISM) and Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM) functions and principles.

Must be willing to accept night-shift assignments, climb and work off towers and ladders, bend, stoop and crawl around equipment and vehicles, lift equipment weighing up to 50lbs, be available for call-outs as necessary, perform outside work in various types of weather conditions, work near equipment and facilities containing explosives and special materials, qualify for a Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance, participate in NNSA s Human Reliability Program (HRP). Must have basic computer skills and good oral and written communication skills. Use test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc. Perform soldering as required. Operate and maintain special vehicles and equipment. Prepare requests for supplies and services for repair, re-stock and/or installation. Complete required maintenance records. Provide input to weekly activity reports. Use drawings, schematics, sketches, service manuals and/or verbal direction in troubleshooting and repairing subsystems and equipment to the component level. Operate standard PC programs and operating systems such as Windows, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve procedures, practices, etc. Identify documentation shortcomings or errors and provide updates for formal changes to the documentation. Execute work in accordance with ISM and ISSM Core Functions and Guiding Principles. AA degree in electronics from an accredited school; or two years military or accredited commercial training specializing in electronics, or at least one approved specialized certification (e.g., A+, MCSE,FCC General Class Commercial License, ISCET Associate) and at least 1 year of practical experience working on systems comparable to those maintained by the Electronic Systems Sections, or at least 2 years practical experience working those systems.
