Leidos Defense and Intelligence Group currently have a need for a Spacecraft/Space Vehicle Analyst knowledgeable in foreign spacecraft systems to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, as an integral member of a government-contractor team. The successful candidate will provide support by researching foreign satellite subsystems and components and assessing their capabilities.
This position will require working as part of a team comprised of military, government, and other contractors to achieve high confidence answers to problems of interest. The qualified candidate must also be able to work independently and have effective writing and verbal communication skills.
BA and 5+ years related experience.
Space system software: Expertise and/or experience in satellite/space vehicle software systems
Expertise and/or experience in flight computers, navigation and control systems, circuits, and li-ion batteries
Satellite systems engineering , design satellite propulsion subsystems,
Expertise and/or experience in mechanisms: Attitude Determination & Control sensors and actuators; Payload (collecting or emitting sensors); Structures (static load-bearing & dynamic mechanisms); Propulsion (including tanks and plumbing); Electrical Power; Thermal Control (active and passive); Tracking, Telemetry, & Command; and other miscellaneous components of interest Electrical:
Expertise and/or experience in payload subsystems, power distribution systems, flight computers, bus electrical subsystems
Ability to understand and analyze end item data package, test data and analysis in their specific functional areas
Strong knowledge of industry engineering procedures, specifications, and standards
Ability to produce credible, independent technical analysis from raw test data/source code
Strong knowledge of space acquisition process
Ability to conduct quick look analysis of program office technical issue charts and pinpoint issues requiring in-depth analysis by the technical panels
