Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineer
Leidos is searching for a Marine Engineer to provide Hull, Mechanical & Electrical Systems Analysis (HM&E) all-source engineering, research, analysis and production support for the Office of Naval Intelligence’s Submarine Platforms Division.
•Provide the requisite marine engineering knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience to perform HM&E tasks.
•Provide Hull, Mechanical & Electrical Systems Analysis (HM&E) all-source engineering, research & analysis and production support.
•Other duties as necessary.
BS in Engineering or related field with demonstrated applicability to integrated shipboard machinery installations (e.g. naval architecture, ocean engineering, mechanical / electrical engineering) and 8+ years of relevant experience OR MS in Engineering or related field and 6+ years of relevant work experience
Shipboard engineering experience
Experience with applied critical thinking demonstrated by experience that includes the conduct of independent research, data aggregation and synthesis and technical / engineering analysis of shipboard systems.
Working knowledge of contemporary data mining and aggregation software and the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
1+ years pf project/program leadership
•Propulsion and Propulsion Control/Monitoring Systems.
•Steering Systems and Controls.
•Ride Control/Stabilization Systems and Controls.
•Electric Power Generation and Distribution Systems and Controls.
•Seawater Cooling Systems.
