Description:

Work as a Software Engineer in a collaborative team-focused environment. Duties include analyzing large scale data sources, providing ETL support and providing scripting support to enhance availability and usability of large scale datasets. Will provide scripting and engineering support to optimize the visualization, organization, storage, and availability of large scale data in support of user requirements. Assist in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints.
Must be dynamic, innovative, self-starting problem solver. Must have the aptitude and attitude to tackle unsolved technical challenges.


Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and experience commensurate with the requested level in software engineering; if no degree, equivalent experience in software engineering.
• 12+ years software engineering experience
• Proven ETL/Data Integration experience using the following
o Pentaho
o Shell Scripting
o Perl and/or Python
• Proven experience with relational databases such as MySQL that utilize SQL queries
• Experience developing software on a big data analytics platform
