Leidos’ Civil Group is actively interviewing and hiring multiple mid-senior level Software Engineering openings across the nation, with emphasis in the Northern VA area (Fairfax, DC), Gaithersburg/Silver Spring MD, Atlantic City/Egg Harbor NJ, Oklahoma City OK, and West Virginia locations.  The Civil Group provides Critical solutions for a variety of missions, to include but not limited to the FAA, FBI, and Homeland Security.

Program Description: Exciting opportunity to work with a federal law enforcement agency supporting the development and maintenance of their applications and infrastructure.

General duties and responsibilities may include
  1. Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
  2. Debug existing software and correct defects
  3. Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
  4. Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
  5. Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
  6. Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
  7. Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
  8. Write or review software and system documentation
  9. Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
  10. Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  11. Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
  12. Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints; Perform quality control on team products
  13. Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met
  14. Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
