Description:

The Health Products and Solutions Group is seeking an experienced technical associate manager to lead a team of Firewall, Proxy and VPN professionals (employees & subcontractors) supporting a large healthcare contract in Baltimore. 

 

This Asc. Manager will immediately provide strategic and tactical support to the existing team of Firewall, Proxy Services and VPN team members that support VDC and HIGLAS contracts.

 

This resource will help “shape” the work scope, clarify requirements, facilitate coordination between external stakeholders and internal Service Areas (Unix, Wintel, DataCom, Firewall, Storage, Facilities, etc.) to respond to customer Service Requests (SRs) and Change Requests (CRs).  Individual will be responsible for proposal support and team projects including the development of BOEs and BOMs.  Individual will develop appropriate metrics and appropriate status reports to both internal and external stakeholders.  Work with program leadership to identify and address existing operational issues and forecast emerging issues.  As needed/appropriate, will work program project level start-up tasks in support of transition activities upon award of new work scope.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.  Considered an emerging authority. 

Desired skills 

• Data Communications, Telecommunications, Firewall implementation skills

• Experience with mid-level customers

• Network+, Security+, CISSP, PMP Certification  Generally has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
