Description:
Leidos is currently looking for an Installation Specialist in Fort Gordon, GA. This position is in support of the I2TS-3 contract.

The Installation Specialist shall provide installation/de-installation of supporting hardware including Personal Computers, Communications Closet components and all associated infrastructure supporting the networks in response to automation work requests. The contractor shall install and de-install hardware and software as required to ensure consistent and reliable service availability to the U.S. Army INSCOM customers. Installations and de- installations may result from repairs, replacements, or other maintenance actions. No refurbished equipment will be utilized. All installations and de-installations shall be in accordance with manufacture and/or unit specific instructions. When required by security requirements, de-installed
components and software will be sanitized per appropriate security procedures. All installations shall include appropriate functional verifications to ensure serviceability. The contractor shall establish workstation / server baseline configurations in accordance with Government requirements and guidance. 

The Installation Specialist shall provide installation/de-installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and supporting infrastructure for and within the INSCOM spaces and satellite components supported by the HQ INSCOM network structure. This includes fiber optic data communications transport equipment, fiber optic cable plants supporting the various networks and all associated hubs, patch panels and connector types involved in the support of the network structure. 

The Installation Specialist shall provide reports to management on progress of installations of hardware upgrades or changes. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Conducts hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design.
• Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements.
• Provides installation management to include creating list of materials, bills of materials, estimating installation project timelines, determining installation team requirements, successfully executing installation projects, and documenting project status.
• Plans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructures.
• Installs and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiber.
• Provides equipment rack installation and equipment installations within a variety of locations that includes, but is not limited to, data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user workspaces.

Qualifications:
This is an E-SITE Level 3 position. 

Experience/Education:
HSD or GED with 10 Years of relevant experience
OR Associate's Degree with  8 Years of relevant experience
OR Bachelor's Degree with 6 Years of relevant experience
OR Master's Degree with 4 Years of relevant experience
OR PhD.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI required at time of hire.

Certifications at time of hire:

This position  requires DoD Directive 85570.01M IAT Level II - Must have one of the following: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP

Communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates
