Senior Systems Engineer
Leidos is currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer in Fort Belvoir, VA. This position is in support of the I2TS-3 contract.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be accountable for all aspects of engineering requirements and manages the hands-on, day-to-day issues related to engineering activities. Is responsible for engineering operations including security, maintenance and accountability. Is responsible for meeting all technical requirements related to Engineering, and ensures that processes and network/systems Engineering meet performance requirements. Is the Point-of-Contact for Engineering related issues, and is authorized to act on all matters relating to the daily operation of the task order related to Engineering. Is responsible for meeting all technical requirements
- Analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities
Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
Develop system architecture and system design documentation
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives
- Active TS/SCI required at time of hire.
- HSD or GED with 10 Years of relevant experience
- OR Associate's Degree with 8 Years of relevant experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree with 6 Years of relevant experience
- OR Master's Degree with 4 Years of relevant experience
- OR PhD.
- DoD Directive 85570.01M IASAE Level II - Must have one of the following: CASP CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP
- Communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates
