Leidos has an opening for a Senior Cyber Range Engineer at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. Candidates must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered.
The candidate will provide Senior level SME range engineering support. Supervise complex operations and all personnel engaged in the operation and support of network facilities. Perform life cycle testing, analysis and test management support for a variety of AF operational test events. Advise project, test and other relative teams to assure alignment with cyberspace testing strategies. Provide multifaceted range support including authenticating and capturing requirements pertinent to support range engineering activities . Cultivate test plans, attain authorizations, implement test plans and capture and scrutinize results. Compile findings from range analysis and draft final reports with the results. Reconstruct range and provide support to requirements from outside customers.

  • Develop and maintain briefings, tracks programs, schedules and products/ deliverables.
  • Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information system operations.
  • Direct collation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance; troubleshoots network performance issues; analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.
  • Provide screening for and respond to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems; coordinate with vendor in the event of outages or periods of corrupted system performance and monitor, and respond to hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems; designs, builds, and implements network systems.
  • Perform system-level design and structure of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications and performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and execution, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews and evaluates new and existing software products.
  • Manage and support all information systems operations activities including programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations.
  • Provide input to policy level discussions regarding standards and budget constraints.
  • Provide the routine testing and analysis of all essentials of the network facilities and troubleshoot and improve network systems when necessary
  • Designate provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits and provide configuration management planning.
  • Standardize the change process, ensuring that only approved and authenticated changes are assimilated into product documents and related software


5-10 years of test experience; Five plus (5+) years specialized technical experience. IAT II is required (Security + CE OR GSEC). A CISSP is desired.  Knowledge of legacy, customized, and basic systems. Computer network, hardware and software administrative, communication, time management. 
Ability to design, build and implement network systems. TS/SCI security clearance required.
