This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Office of Safety and Technical Training (AJI). This position requires a program analyst who will apply AJI processes to satisfy assigned duties and responsibilities, oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. The successful candidate will review the status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports, as well as developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

The successful candidate will work independently to support the objectives of the assigned program. The position will have significant impact on the program's operational accomplishments, and will be responsible for specific processes within the program. The position requires a problem-solver that can pull together knowledge from a broad range of subjects to produce thorough analyses of complex, challenging issues, and use those analyses to find solutions. Excellent communications with team members, both in house and on the customer side, are essential to the position's responsibility to provide design and process solutions.



Bachelor's  degree and 4 or more years of prior relevant experience, or Master's with 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Project.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills necessary to interact with Senior and Executive level management, as well as foster an environment of cooperation between different departments and co-workers.
Must be able to multi-task the tracking of project schedule development, project control, risk management practices/issues, and project documentation processing/archiving between multiple simultaneous projects.
Must be able to work, manage, and maintain information stored in a Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN)/SharePoint site(s).
Experience with preparing briefing packages for Senior and Executive level management.
Previous experience as a team member supporting operations or logistics to the FAA or other Federal Agencies.
