Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Cloud Software Engineer/Developer shall have technical expertise in the design and development of application software system and components, maintenance and enhancement of application software. The applicant shall possess the following required qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related IT field

Desired:  Six (6) years of experience in web based software development/software engineering; and including two (2) years of experience in Cloud based application development and implementation

Experience modifying applications for optimized Cloud infrastructure utilization

ISSA/TS clearance at the start of the contract

Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems

Expertise with Ruby on Rails or Java

Expertise with Agile software development methodologies, to include ability to serve as Serum Master

Demonstrated experience with JavaScript (and frameworks like jQuery and Ext/JS)

Demonstrated experience with relational databases (for example, MySQL, Oracle)

Familiarity with Cloud technologies (for example, HBase, Cassandra, Amazon Web Services)

Experience providing technical recommendations on applications development initiatives

Experience integrating new software capabilities or functions into an infrastructure

Experience migrating legacy applications to the new cloud infrastructure

Desirable: AWS Certification


Qualifications:
