Description:
The Data Scientist shall provide data analysis support to counterintelligence (CI) evaluations of US national security issues.  The Data Scientist will use technical and analytical expertise to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights, which in turn can provide a insight into complex problems. Leverage expertise in CS software development, and the latest technologies to analyze and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations. Leverage comprehension of mathematical and statistical concepts, CS, or domain expertise to bridge the gap between technologists and mathematicians, ensuring software solutions meet analytic requirements
Description
  • Provide data analytic support to damage assessments.
  • Leverage expertise in CS software development, and the latest technologies to analyze and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations
  • Support the data analysis of key intelligence questions and analytic requirements.
  • Conduct and develop data analysis and threat assessments
  • Develop reports and visualization on trends.
  • Prepare analytical reports and publications, create graphics, and provide client ready material.
  • Coordinate analytic meetings and working groups across multiple USG government agencies to discuss  data trends

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with data analytics, analytical data science, data management and manipulation, and predictive analytics and algorithm development
  • Experience with programming using an object-oriented language, including Java, Cex++, C#, or Python
  • Experience in database querying language
  • Experience in data mining and statistical analysis
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in strategic analysis and the ability to gather, analyze and portray data sets in a meaningful way
  • Must be capable of conducting independent research, as well as, work with team members and partner agencies.
  • Ability to develop analysis of alternatives for decision support.
  • Experience in develop and deliver executive-level reports and briefings to senior leaders
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience in using US Government, Intelligence Community, and commercial data sources
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
