Seeking a college graduate (Computer/System/Software Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred) to support the software development for the Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) program. The AFSS system is a 24/7/365 system that provides a range of flight services to 80,000 members of the General Aviation community. This position is in Ashburn, VA. The candidate will be responsible for learning existing/legacy system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the design and implementation of new capabilities and enhancements. The candidate will be joining a feature development team where they will be responsible for the design, development and testing of new features for the system.
The candidate must have a good academic understanding and experience with software development, system engineering, and test engineering practices. The candidate will be expected participate and follow a scaled agile SAFe methodology.
Education and Experience:
BS degree in Computer/System/Software Engineering or Computer Science and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Excellent written/verbal skills with the ability to interpret and author well-formed documents.
Candidates must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer. Due to contract requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship
