Air Force Exercise Scheduler/Event Coordinator
Leidos has an opportunity for an Air Force Exercise Scheduler/Event Coordinator to work at Shaw AFB. Candidates must possess a Top Secret clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI) in order to be considered.
Applicants will help Air Combat Command (ACC) and Joint Task Force (JTF) action officers plan, budget, coordinate and schedule Combat Air Forces (CAF) unit participation in Air and Space Expeditionary Force (AEF) and Joint exercise and training events. Applicants must have practical experience and a thorough understanding of AFI 10-204 (Joint and National Exercise Participation) and AFI 10-420 (Aviation Scheduling) to perform these duties. Applicants will use ACC and JCS direction / objectives to analyze and assess potential exercise and training opportunities, develop a prioritized list and recommend the programming and distribution of resources (personnel / funding) to pursue these opportunities. Applicants will help develop unit exercise and training scenarios, recommend Master Scenario Event List injects and participate in related C2, CSAR, ISR and logistical support element technical discussions. They will analyze suspected problem areas; identify key variables / LIMFACs; and develop practical and innovative course-of-actions based upon ACC objectives and their own operational experiences. They will help align and schedule CAF unit event participation to fulfill exercise/training objectives and satisfy CAF unit readiness and training requirements. Applicants will analyze and compile After Actions Reviews (AAR) results into Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) inputs and develop documentation, correspondence and briefings for senior leader issuance / presentation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant Air Force or Army / USMC flying unit operations; minimum of 5 years’ experience in exercise planning. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Masters of Science preferred). Previous experience in MS Office Professional, MS Project, FORTRESS and GES development and execution is required. Must hold Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
