Description:
The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Systems Engineer to work in our Dayton, Ohio office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the development of a trainer (DWST) for the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) as part of a distributed, multi-disciplinary team.  Leidos seeks mission and team-oriented individuals who enjoy working as an individual contributor in a highly collaborative team.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration and fielding efforts of the DWST system.
- Transform written system requirements into UML models and diagrams.
- Plan, coordinate and execute network infrastructure activities among several organizations to ensure system connectivity to various external networks.
- Design and develop system architectural models that detail the major components of the system, how they relate to one another and their environment.
- Work with senior software developers to determine system resource allocations (e.g., HDD space, CPU specs, RAM).
- Work with system security professionals to identify system vulnerabilities and determine mitigating actions that should be taken to ensure the system is in compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Interface and communicate with government counterparts to address concerns, complex technical issues, and alternative methods of execution.
- Install, configure, and manage virtual environments based on VMware ESXi.
- Must have excellent written and oral skills.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below

- BS and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience.  

- Must have a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

- Experience in the implementation of Information Systems Security and management of system administration using Windows Group Policy Objects in a windows domain environment

- Experience developing custom scripts to satisfy unique security requirements

- Expert knowledge of Windows Virtual Environments

- Experience with the following technologies is required:

Windows 2012 Server R2

Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Nessus Client and ACAS Server

Cisco Nexus (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP) – Stand Routing Protocols 

VM Ware / VSphere

ESX 6.0 and 6.5

Oracle Storage for large Storage Area Networks

UML

Chef or Puppet


Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration

- Experience in the development or sustainment of the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS)

- Degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering preferred.
