Leidos is seeking a Business Development Manager to manage and oversee the pipeline, customer development, and new business focused on DHS.
This starts with identifying opportunities to support the mission and drive growth within the Homeland Security market. Activities will include the development of new programs, surveillance over the DHS market, analysis of business opportunities, and the pursuit and closure of new business programs. May manage preparation of captures/proposals, recommend financial and non-financial strategies, develop new business objectives and alternatives, and implement and maintain strategic, operational, and tactical plans.
This position will have responsibility for driving new business, strategic initiatives, and programs within the DHS market. This will include support to strategic growth threads - Cyber, Managed Services & Cloud, Biometrics, Software Development (including agile), DevOps, large infrastructure, and border security programs within DHS. This person will facilitate strategy and new business development by identifying key growth opportunities, develop and execute customer engagement plans, assess the competitive landscape, prioritize and drive capture efforts, and ensure resources are aligned with the strategy.
Overall, the focus of this position will be on interfacing with the government within DHS to ensure that we align to and meet their mission needs.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 15+ years of demonstrated successful business growth leadership experience including 10+ years of successful experience within the DHS market space.
  • Strong background in Business Development, Campaign development, customer engagement and relationship management.
  • Experience in new business capture and proposal development. Strong customer and industry connections with a proven ability to win large scale programs.
  • Ability to Capture new business opportunities and proactively drive opportunity pursuits forwards is critical.
