The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior System Administrator in support of our customer sites in Bethesda, MD.  The systems administrator contributes to the planning and executes all desktop support, hardware and software maintenance, movement, installation, testing, validation and accreditation for a growing network of 40 DHS DOMEX analysts and the broader DOMEX community.   The successful candidate will work in an agile and fast paced operational environment supporting intelligence community analysts whose mission is to solve unique and challenging problems.  

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with software developers, network engineers, senior investigators, data analysts, digital forensic examiners and other intelligence analysts to integrate and optimize a Data Science platform (DOMEX Data Discovery Platform –D3P) to produce and analyze results, disseminate findings, and contribute to publications and presentations.  
- Responsible for internal network administration operations and external interface and security monitoring.  
- Maintain workstations and servers, the installation of software, software patches, and anti-virus software installation, maintenance and oversight.  - Maintains an in-depth awareness of current and emerging technologies and helps to position the organization to take full advantage of evolving industry capabilities. 
- Collaborates with the users to identify and document required changes, evolving requirements and innovative solutions to hard technical problems.  Individual must be motivated, self-driven team player who can interact well with others and advise/consult with other team members on software development related issues.

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below
- Bachelor's Degree in information technologies/computer science or related with 10 years of experience in technical work in the major area of full life cycle system administration, systems engineering and database administration.  
- Must have an active TS/SCI DoD security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a polygraph security clearance.
- CompTIA Security + certification
- Broad background of operating systems and thorough knowledge of IT Infrastructures (LINUX, Microsoft Windows, DOS, UNIX, and CISCO IOS).   
- Strong depth of Windows desktop administration experience.
- In depth knowledge of information system security principles, practices and technologies.   
- Experience with cloud technologies (Hadoop, Cloudera, etc).  

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration
- Experience with SQL, Oracle (PL/SQL), or SQL Server (T-SQL)
- System/network architecture design and development experience
- Experience with DHS networks or information systems
- Certifications in CISSP, CCNA, Redhat Linux
