Sr. Systems Administrator
The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Sr. Systems Administrator to work at Shaw Air Force Base, SC.
What you’ll be doing:
Our Senior Systems Administrator will be part of a dynamic team to support ARCENT G2 customers throughout the ARCENT Area of Responsibility. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated capability of providing Tier I and Tier II support to customers with hardware, software, and application problem resolution across multiple networks.
Properly configure, manage and troubleshoot in a VMware and NetApp environment
Diagnose and resolve problems with desktop and server hardware and operating systems (Win7, WinServ 2012R2), storage (NetApp), virtual environments (VMware ESXi)
Diagnose and resolve servers and desktop software issues including MS Office, MS Outlook, Adobe, Java, Windows Firewall, SCCM/WSUS, etc.
Provide accurate documentation of work, system and network diagrams, and for ensuring that work meets the required deadlines of Service Level Agreements.
Apply patches and updates to servers and desktop systems.
Provide Service Desk function to customers as needed, including Active Directory tasks, in & out processing users for accounts, account set-up requirements, troubleshooting workstation hardware/software, trouble-shooting VOIPs, basic hardware troubleshooting, printer issues, etc.
Document work tickets in SharePoint Helpdesk ticket tracking system. Conduct validation of ticket information to ensure completeness and accuracy and escalate issues via ticketing system and requests for assistance as needed.
Document work completed and update network and system diagrams, floor plans, etc. in MS Visio and PowerPoint.
Participate in or lead special projects and day‐to‐day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead, including surging to alternate locations for customer requirements, backfill personnel during R&R or other absences, and/or reconfiguring office spaces (cabling, power, etc.) in support of changing customer requirements
Perform troubleshooting of network and connectivity issues at Tier I and Tier II and coordinate troubleshooting on Tier 0 circuits to ensure mission critical operations continue across the AOR.
Comment on system changes thru Configuration Control Boards (CCB) or similar in a professional manner.
Maintain required security posture on all systems in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements.
Follow and adhere to all information security regulations and policies on all respective networks.

What you'll need to have:
- High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in lieu of college degree. Or, Associate's degree with 8 years of experience. Or, Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience.
- One or more of the following certifications: Security+ ce, GSEC, or SSCP.
- Active TS/SCI
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2012R2 and 2008R2, Virtual Environments.
- VMWare experience and the ability to manage Window Server Farm
- Ability to install and configure SharePoint 2013 and migrate existing SharePoint 2010 pages and sites to SharePoint 2013.
- 2008 or later MCSA/MCSE
