Description:

Leidos has a career opportunity for a Logistics Engineer with a TS/SCI polygraph clearance in Columbia, Maryland.

The Logistics Engineer must be able to assist in a full range of logistics services that include procurement, equipment shipping and receiving, property control, and accountability of government equipment.

Hands-on participation in the logisticians’ management of system tracking and excessing government equipment 

Familiar with Gov’t. MDAT 1149 procedures 

Process government Transfer of Accountable Equipment (TOE’S)

Developing logistics documentation and reports 

Assist with the customers Contractor Acquired Property Report

Familiar with Cost Point

Responsible for the government year-end (annual) GFP report

Serve as the primary interface with the mission Customers on their procurement related activities and tasks.

Lead the logistician team’s contract activities.

Receive and acknowledge receipt of Customer procurement requirements on the Customer’s classified network.

Translate Customer requirements into purchase requisitions and enter into the procurement tracking tool.

Ensure timely assignment of requisition to logistician from logistician pool.

Track all procurement to ensure timely satisfaction of requirements against Customer required delivery dates.

Provide timely feedback to Customer if procurement deadline cannot be met.

Interface with  (Leidos)  business unit as required for support to contract  procurement requirements.

Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for the Customer as required.

Respond to Ad Hoc data calls and reporting requests from the Customer or Company. 

Develop and track procurement team metrics.
Track available funding on task with procurement funding based on financial reporting from PMO financial staff.

Lead development of process and tool improvements to better support the QRC Procurement requirements of the contract.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  Requires a BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience.
