The Advanced Solutions Group (SRG) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work in our Colorado Springs, CO office.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to guide internal company and customer efforts with unique ISR solutions to current and emerging requirements. The job of the Mechanical Engineer support a wide scope of activities allowing for the initial assessment of emerging sensors and systems through flight testing and transition planning. Some travel required.
-Support of ISR Systems integration against various applications, ground based, podded, and on aircraft.
-Design, develop technical drawings, and procure system components.
-Support flight tests by performing system configurations of podded components and perform flight line operations.
-Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
-Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
-Provide guidance, oversight, and review of manufacturer’s engineering, design, and fabrication of ISR structures.
-Provide support/oversight of entire effort through certification of ISR structures.
-Familiar with aircraft systems and systems integration.
-Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years in mechanical engineering or related field. Additional years’ experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
-Experience with Creo (Pro Engineer) or similar.
-Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
-Familiarity with common hand tools (screw drivers, drills, wrenches).
-Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
-Current Secret clearance.
-Experience with ASME Y14.100 drawing practices.
