Leidos is looking for a talented Test Engineer to contribute to the System Team on the Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) program. The AFSS system is a 24/7/365 system that provides a range of flight services to 80,000 members of the General Aviation community. This position is a telework position, but does require regular travel to Ashburn, VA. Candidates must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer. Due to contract requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.  As a Test Engineer, your primary responsibility is to help identify and maintain the health and quality of the AFSS System.

• Maintain and execute regression test procedures that are both manual and automated.
• Maintain and execute performance, stability and stress test procedure.
• Identify and verify defects to the AFSS System.
• Prepare adaptation data for the system.


Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. 
Previous experience engaging stakeholders, contributors and technical resources to analyze user needs and resource limitations.
Professional experience testing against the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, JSP, AngularJS, JavaScript, AJAX, Perl, Shell Scripting, SQL, Subversion, REST, SOAP. XML, RHEL 5 and 6.
Professional experience debugging large integrated software systems.
Profession experience creating, maintaining and executing, automated test procedures.
Should have Agile experience/knowledge of key agile techniques including Kanban, Lean, XP, and Scrum.
Professional experience leading a group of engineers to meet scheduled milestones.
Experience working at an organization going through a SAFe Agile transformation.
Experience on Air Traffic or working with Air Traffic Systems.
Experience using the Atlassian tools: JIRA, Crucible, Confluence; VMWare; Eggplant; and VersionOne.
