Cyber Security Engineer
The Health Products and Solutions Group currently has an opening for a Cyber Security Engineer to work on a large healthcare contract in Baltimore.
The engineer will be responsible for supporting the Information Security Program. Duties include investigating computer and information security incidents to determine extent of compromise to information and automated information systems, providing computer forensic and intrusion support to high technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, initial computer forensic analysis, researching and maintaining proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, data hiding, network security and encryption, security policies and documentation, risk analysis, managing the C&A documentation, privacy impact analysis and reporting, POA&M process and security requirements analysis. In addition, duties may include designing, developing or recommending integrated system solutions ensuring proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected, participating with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs, and configuring and validating secure systems, testing security products/systems to detect computer and information security weakness. Supports coordination of incident response and disaster recovery tasks. Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the area/ project team. Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments. May assist other technical staff with tasks and assignments. Develops solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge, but are typically limited in complexity. Communicates with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.). Explains technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization. Requires working knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of technical domain.
BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
