Description:

**Must have a current active TOP SECRET Security Clearance**

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Technical support of workflow to include customer support, end-user support, fielding software updates, system testing and enhancements, metrics gathering, report creation, and implementation of both operational and technical requirements into a production environment.
-Use of technical skills and abilities to field and deploy Sponsor information technology systems.
-Additional tasks include close desktop support of end-user desktop computer systems and software, configuration management, inventory controls, data transfer between systems, and providing documentation to support technical procedures.
-The candidate will use their strong, well-rounded foundation of technical skills and experience encompassing a broad range of information technology (IT) fields including hardware, software, networks, and information security.
-The candidate will be working in a team-oriented help desk/technical support environment and will be working in Sponsors IT systems and networks.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
-BS Degree and 2-4 year of experience or Masters with less than 2 years experience.
-Experience with systems administration in a Microsoft (MS) Windows/Active Directory environment, MS Exchange, Access databases, XML, and scripting.
-Experience in identifying technical problems, troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software issues, and engineering technical solutions.
-Experience with application and network change requests, scheduled network outages, trouble ticket, and routine operations and maintenance, and assisting with server builds/upgrades.
-Experience with performing software updates, patches and anti-virus protection upgrades supporting both the desktop and server platforms.
-Experience identifying, trouble-shooting and resolving network outages and problems.
-Experience with information security policies and practices.
-Experience with managing IT system backup and restore processes/procedures.

Desired Qualifications:
-Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
-Excellent technical writing abilities, interpersonal/communication skills, organizational skills, and presentation and/or training skills.
-Experience working within the Sponsors IT systems and networks.
