Leidos seeks a software tester to join a software development team working in the Herndon, VA area. The software tester will provide manual test support to the development team. This opportunity requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph in order to be considered. 

The Software Tester is responsible for testing new development and O&M software. The Software Tester’s primary duties include test planning, test analysis, as well as developing test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts against user requirements for multiple products. Working in a Scrum agile development environment, the Software Tester will collaborate with development and test teammates to determine the best approach to testing, ensure consistent adherence to team processes and procedures, and create requests for changes (RFCs) and discrepancy reports (DRs). The Software Tester will also participate in formal and informal peer reviews, provide weekly status updates, and conduct formal and informal demonstrations. 

Mandatory Skills:

- Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
- Experience designing test plans.
- Experience developing test scripts.
- Experience following processes and standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desired Skills:

- Previous experience in a scrum agile development environment.
