Description:
The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Logistics Sustainment Engineering Manager at Chesapeake, VA. 

JOB SUMMARY: 
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Logistics Sustainment Engineering (LSE) efforts for the NAVSEA PEO IWS-5 Waterfront & Logistics Support contract, support all reliability, maintainability, testability, safety, configuration management, storage and handling, disposal, and life cycle cost (LCC) requirements. The candidate will work with IPT Leads to ensure a thorough understanding and integration of all LSE requirements to provide an integrated, capable, and maintainable system. The LSE Manager is responsible for ensuring that the system LSE design efforts support the Program Office’s strategy and supports the program in meeting all commitments including technical performance, schedule, and cost along with ensuring customer satisfaction with the system support concept and design. You will directly supervise a team of eight or more, provide direction as needed, initiate hiring activities for certain areas and be responsible for performance and rewards for your team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Understand and successfully demonstrate the applicable competencies and proficiencies underlying the seven Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) competency areas, Design Influence, Integrated Logistics Support Planning, Product Support & Sustainment, Supportability Analysis, Reliability and Maintainability Analysis, Configuration Management, and Technical/Product Data Management.
-Plan, develop, implement and manage effective and affordable product support strategies throughout the life cycle for the supported systems.
-Develop and implement outcome-based product support strategies that optimize readiness & life cycle cost affordability.
-Deliver logistics products and services to sustain system operational readiness.
-Develop and document the product support strategy to support the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) which describes efforts to ensure the system’s design, as well as the development of the product support package, are integrated and contribute to achieving life cycle sustainment outcome metrics.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
-Bachelor’s Degree and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant Integrated Logistics Support experience supporting military systems. An Associate’s Degree and 7 years of relevant Integrated Logistics Support experience supporting military systems or 12 years of relevant Integrated Logistics Support experience supporting military systems can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
-Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance and higher
-Must have a fundamental understanding of military organizational dynamics
-Excellent communication skills
-Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and use of Government provided procurement and inventory databases

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
-Possess the tenants of Leadership as this position requires leadership and collaboration within an integrated technical staff as well as critical customer interactions
-Experience with subcontractors and subcontract technical management
-Possess a SECRET security clearance
