Leidos is currently seeking a PC-12 lead Mechanic will supervise day to day maintenance task on assigned aircraft, facilities,equipment and machinery. will report directly too PC-12 Maintenance Manager.  The lead mechanic will lead the maintenance team in accomplishment of assigned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.Will assign tasks to team members  based on knowledge, skills and abilities . Ensures that all of the aircraft spare parts required are requisitioned trough supply support system. Ensures current technical publications are updated and available to the mechanics.Will coordinate with Quality Control to ensure required inspection are completed prior to to further maintenance actions. Coordinates backshop support for repairs required to to maintain continued airworthiness. responsible to ensure that the aircraft forms and records are correctly updated to reflect true condition of aircraft. Responsible for tool accountability  before during and after maintenance is performed will create lost or broken tool reports and submit to Maintenance Manager before release of aircraft from maintenance. Responsible that all team members are properly trained for GSE operations used in the support of aircraft maintenance/operations. Will ensure all amintenance personnel are adequately trained and familiar with the tasks they are performing.The lead will also provide mentoring and training to any  Afghan maintainers that are assigned to the team. Lead will be responsible for familiarizing them to the aircraft, forms/records, maintenance individual and collective tasks. Will be responsible for annotating the Afghan maintainer records to insure they are tracking any training tasks completed to standard. Any training accomplished by his assigned mentors will be annotated in Afghan student records.He will work in conjunction with Production Control to insure all scheduled maintenance actions are performed in a timely manner in allotted time frame. Lead will be responsible for reviewing flight schedule and ensuring that adequate maintenance personnel are assigned to support launch and recovery of aircraft. Will ensure any unscheduled maintenance task are completed in a timely manner to support mission requirements. Lead will represent LEIDOS and is required to interact with our customer on a daily basis.Lead will solve problems and issues to ensure mission success.
 IMPACT: Responsible for leading some operations within an area that has significant impact on results for the job family. Responsible for assisting and training lower level support employees.

Typically requires an Associate Degree, however, equivalent experience/education combinations are permitted. An equivalent to the high school diploma or GED and technical school degree is authorized.
Candidate must have a current FAA A&P License
4 years experience or OEM training directly related to the PC-12 aircraft may be substituted for the educational requirements.
8-10 years of prior relevant experience on PC-12 or other Pratt and Whitney PT6A turbo prop fixed wing aircraft is desirable .
Be knowledgeable in and conversant in military maintenance operations ,safety, standardization, technical inspections and supervision instructions, student management, and maintenance management.
Candidate must be willing to travel in between customer sites when needed

Program Specific Requirement:

US citizen

Current background investigation and a NACI or Interim NACI required

Active US passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date.

Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date

Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.

Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.

All candidates for this position must have prior completion of a positively adjudicated Federal Government Investigation in order to qualify for the role allowing them to receive a Common Access Card (CAC).
