Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Leidos is looking for a System Administrator to join our Origin program team. The ideal candidate will serve as an engineer on the Service Operations Team on a classified government contract. The individual selected to serve in this position will have a strong IT background and an aptitude to learn quickly. The ideal candidate will be able to solve problems rapidly and will have excellent communication skills for dealing with a wide array of diverse and demanding customers. As a member of the Service Operations team, the selected candidate will perform a variety of system administration tasks, such as managing modern server and Windows OS technologies, building and configuring power shell scripts, Windows Group Policy, Active Directory and Microsoft Systems Center.  The candidate should also have experience with researching, testing and installing system patches and performing anti-virus updates.  Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, SharePoint, Web Help Desk, Terminal Services, and other related IT focus areas is highly desirable for this position. The Systems Administrator is required to have a broad technical background to enable the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, design and implement fixes without escalating to Tier 3 support. An applicant must be self-motivated, organized, have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, possess an ability to solve technical problems requiring attention to detail, have demonstrated leadership, and have both collaborative and independent work process exposure. An applicant should have the ability to see “the big picture” and how one’s role in a project contributes to the greater strategic mission. An applicant should have the capacity to embrace diverse technical disciplines and have excellent customer intimacy skills (i.e. listening, understanding, questioning in a nonthreatening manner, differentiating between customer’s wants and needs, and ability to deliver on those needs). This position requires the ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job. This position will require a flexible work schedule which, depending on staff makeup on the start date, may require being assigned a shift which provides support until call center close of business at 6pm.  Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. EFFECTIVE DATE: 01/02/2016
