Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate is responsible for supply chain functions, such as material procurement, planning, and inventory. Duties may include coordinating and integrating the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers. The candidate will work to achieve day-to-day objectives that consist of non-routine activities and have significant impact on the work output. Works independently under limited supervision. Solves initially unclear problems and issues, which may require some analysis to understand and resolve. Communicates with contacts typically on same project and within the contracts to obtain or provide information on matters of moderate importance. Has a basic understanding of all aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.  The Purchasing Coordinator will handle the following:
  • Material requisition processor
  • Government & company property tracking
  • Facilities management
  • Directs junior administrative staff
  • Shipping coordinator
  • Check Request Processing
  • Material database trainer
  • Proposal support

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with MS Office products
Understanding of basic office duties
Understanding of commercial procurement processes
Understanding of commercial material tracking databases
Understanding of DoD property administration
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Specific understanding of the procurement coordination associated with the CES/AEWTTR contract. Specific understanding of Leidos procurement processes as pertains to CES/AEWTTR contract. Specific understanding of the Leidos Ridgecrest Material Database
