The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Projects Scheduler/ Coordinator at Ridgecrest, CA.
Job Summary:
The Projects Scheduler/Coordinator is responsible for planning, tracking analysis, and reporting on projects of various contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. Responsibilities may include: implementation of financial policies and procedures in support of projects; establishment and maintenance of cost/schedule baselines; development of WBS and related dictionaries, schedules or Resource Loaded Networks (RLN's) and budgets; implementation of Earned Value methodologies and performs related variance analyses; preparation of written and verbal reports to management regarding cost schedule variances; program life-cycle activities such as setup/ maintenance; working capital activities such as invoicing support for unbilled cost, accruals, on-hold cost, cost backup; program financial revenue projection and variance support. Individuals in this family have significant interface with Project Managers, Contracts, Senior Technical Personnel, as well as other organizations. They may participate in new business proposals through schedule and RLN support, providing input and cost volumes to management.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Oversees contract projects.
  • Prepares project plans, balances resources, identifies deficiencies and formulates solutions.
  • Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the work area/project team.
  • Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
  • Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
  • Assist professionals with tasks and assignments.
  • Project budgetary controls and oversight.

Basic Qualifications:
BA degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with MS Office products.
  • Understanding of project supervision/management.
  • Understanding of Technical, Cost, and Schedule reporting.
  • Understanding of commercial procurement processes.
  • Understanding of commercial material tracking databases.
  • Understanding of subcontracts and subcontractors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supervising projects in excess of $1M
  • Experience overseeing DOD Delivery Order and Task Order contracts or projects
  • Specific understanding of Leidos procurement processes as it pertains to CES/AEWTTR contract.
  • Specific understanding of the Leidos Ridgecrest Material Database
