**This is a part-time position, 24 hours per week.**

The Logistics Officer- Test and Quality Assurance will be in charge of the tracking, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical equipment. Must be proficient in critical analysis, the use of test procedures, repair techniques for mechanical equipment and documenting results and analyses. Experience is preferred in working with Logistics, Engineering and Manufacturing personnel as well as field personnel. Maintaining detailed equipment movement records, test records and test procedures for equipment is essential.

• The Logistics Officer is directly responsible for multi-millions of dollars of equipment, some of the pieces of equipment are worth 5M+ dollars.
• The Officer will be the sole person responsible for implementing the customer specs and requirements before the equipment is deployed and when it returns.
• Will oversee one support person in this role
• Knowledgeable of commercial manufacturing processes and techniques for mechanical equipment
• Knowledgeable of mechanical equipment including latches and other access techniques for furniture and luggage
• Independently troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems and provide technical solutions to issues identified in technical evaluations or communicated via field personnel
• Independently evaluate returned equipment for operational suitability. Determine reuse, repair or disposal status as appropriate
•Independently evaluate and test operability of new equipment received from contractors. Evaluate functionality and suitability of equipment and operating instructions. Modify as necessary to meet the community of interest requirements
• Establish and update procedures and documentation related to the testing and use of mechanical equipment. As needed evaluate and provide emergency alternative opening options
• Communicate regularly with customer management, requirements officers and the contract PM regarding decisions made with respect to equipment dispositions
Security Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree and 8-12+ years of overall experience. Six years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 8 year customer experience
• 5+ years’ of relevant experience with concealments and equipment management
• Demonstrate strong written/verbal communications, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills including willingness and ability to document and share information.
• Able to work well in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
• Microsoft Office, Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 year experience with the customer’s passive CD database
• 1 year experience with the use of online websites/applications
• 1 year experience operating x-ray equipment
