The NISC III program within the Civil Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Engineering Planner to work in our Renton, WA office. 

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the National Airspace System Integration Support mission.  

In this mission we provide subject matter expertise to the Federal Aviation Administration throughout the Central Service Area.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to Federal Aviation Administration Performance Based Navigation (PBN), Western Service Area Team. 
  • Support consists of tracking and scheduling of PBN planned procedure changes to support the program offices in a smooth transition. 

Typical education and experience: 
  • Typically requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with 10 years’ experience.
  • Minimum 6 years Aviation experience in the form of Air Traffic Control, Pilot, Navigator, Airline Dispatch. 

  • Program Management experience tracking and scheduling.  

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. 

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Staff office or Front Line Manager experience desired.

  • Program Management PMP certification desired.

  • Microsoft Office Project experience desired.
