Leidos Europe, part of Team Leidos, are looking for a Senior Project Management Office Manager to join their team at the Head Office in Bristol.

Team Leidos is honoured to support the UK MOD’s Logistic Commodities & Services Transformation (LCS[T]) programme, a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain.




The role forms a key part of the PMO management team. It will contribute to the vision, objectives and capability development of the PMO supporting the embedding of a high performing team culture in the organisation.
The Senior PMO Manager role supports the Head of PMO in the coordination, assurance and reporting of the full scope of change and business lifecycle activity within the LCS(T) contract and Team Leidos. The role is central to engaging the business in the business lifecycle, ensuring correct input is made in a timely and high quality fashion in order to allow the organisation to make informed, data driven decisions whilst remaining agile to the customer need and changing environment.
The role will need to communicate at all levels of the organization in an authoritative but engaging style. Ensuring that the right information is received in the right hands at the right time. The role will seek to improve upon current processes and take active ownership of identified problems through to resolution.
The Senior PMO Manager will deliver the change control board, internal corporate reporting and the other miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Head of PMO. The role will oversee control account management reviews in addition to supporting the wider contract control account reviews.
The Senior PMO Manager will support the Head of PMO, delegating as required, in establishing the PMO as a centre of excellence for project & programme management, building a small team to ensure that all elements of the portfolio deliver credible change and benefit in a controlled and consistent manner.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior PMO Manager will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the Head of PMO in the development, delivery and ongoing improvement of the Team Leidos business lifecycle, change control board and associated forums
  • Delivery & improvement of corporate reporting requirements
  • Ownership of the Team Leidos governance meetings and calendar
  • Production of weekly and monthly reporting packs both internal and external as directed by the Head of PMO
  • Providing objective, data driven business intelligence to the Head of PMO and wider leadership team
  • Providing mentoring & coaching to staff
  • Identifying and exploiting opportunities for capability development within the PMO and wider programme
  • Line management of staff as directed by the Head of PMO
  • As required deputise for the Head of PMO

Key Result Areas

  • Ensure the timely distribution of meaningful internal management data.
  • Delivery and improvement of the LCS(T) business lifecycle governance as required by appropriate statement of requirement
  • Ensure that the change control board is effective, supports effective decision making and continuously improves.

The PMO Manager will be accountable for 


  • Assuring the LCS(T) contract business lifecycle
  • Supporting Control Account Manager (CAM) reviews and reporting progress in an objective and digestible format
  • Developing a PPM capability across the programme
  • Providing mentoring, leadership & example to all staff



Minimum Qualification/Education Level:
  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Prince2, APMP, PMI or equivalent
  • MSP or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience of operating effectively within a matrixed organisation
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma methods (preferred)
