Leidos is seeking HR candidates to support the Operations & Logistics Solution (O&LS) Aviation Division, with approximately 350 employees. A large percentage of this employee population is deployed to Middle Eastern countries (mostly Afghanistan) with austere living conditions.

The HRBP is responsible for partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolution of HR issues. They will also produce a strong relationship between HR strategy and the overall business strategy. Provide strategic partnership and integration to help line managers make informed overarching decisions in the areas of workforce planning, talent management actions and investments, priorities for talent acquisition, improving productivity, impacting retention, focusing development priorities, and ensuring rewards and redeployment are focused on key growth areas and strategic investments. May also serve in an advisory role or liaison between management and Human Resources sub-functions to effectively resolve issues, implement and deploy programs, adhere to company policies, and mitigate risk.

As a trusted advisor, the HRBP’s role is to understand the business they support, and partner with leaders and the Centers of Excellence in the development and execution of HR solutions and programs that enable business success and help build the workforce of the future
- Understand workforce trends and critical skill needs, and collaborate with COEs, including Talent Acquisition and Talent Development & Inclusion, to meet business needs 
- Partner with TD&I to develop a robust, diverse talent pipeline to ensure sufficient ready-now candidates for key positions
- Build leadership capability through mentoring, coaching and development, through partnership with TD&I
- Support enterprise-wide organizational change, and partner with TD&I on team and organization effectiveness within own business
- Support and consult with the leadership on total compensation strategy and initiatives
- Develop and execute employee engagement and retention strategies
- Partner with Workplace Relations to investigate and resolve employee relations issues and diagnose and resolve trends and systemic issues
- Coach and advise leaders on managing employee performance
- Assist with growing business through helping capture teams submit winning and executable proposals
- Support international deployments 

- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. 12+ years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience as an HR Generalist or in multiple HR functional areas
- Experience in HR disciplines such as talent management, performance management, workplace relations, staffing, and/or compensation
- Experience supporting an expatriate population
- This position requires travel to Afghanistan and possibly other locations outside of CONUS
- A modified work schedule may be required to meet business needs as the majority of employees in the division are on a different time zone. Some weekend hours may be required.
- Demonstrated understanding of employment law
- Experience using HR metrics to drive business results
- Demonstrated experience coaching, influencing and building effective relationships with leaders and employees to influence decisions
- Experience leading workforce through a changing environment
- Experience in extracting, analyzing, and reporting on a variety of HR metrics, and using them to develop and recommend solutions to leaders
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities efficiently and effectively
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated ethical behavior
- Highly effective communication skills

Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting new business opportunities
- Familiarity with Afghanistan labor law is desired
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Previous military background desired
- Security clearance desired
