Description:
The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Programmer Analyst located at our OCONUS site, Bagram, Afghanistan.

As the Programmer Analyst, you will support the SS-AISR program in which you will be the IT Lead reporting directly to the OCONUS IT Manager. You will resolve highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.

You must have experience in design, development and maintenance of computer-based systems. Knowledge and experience with system configuration, scripting and high-level languages. Experience in tools, techniques and methodologies used in the development, configuration, testing and maintenance of computer-based systems. As the IT Lead you will have a solid technical background while able to manage and motivate people.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Computer programming
-Bash scripting
-Technical documentation
-Managing configuration
-Testing, and account creation in a domain environment
-Quarterly patch install
-Troubleshooting issues on Aircraft and ground systems
-Maintaining Cisco network equipment
-Work with IT Manager on developing IT policies and procedures
-Leads and manages technical staff
-bash and PowerShell scripting
-Serves as a subject matter expert within technical domain area


Qualifications:
BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires candidates to adhere to DoD 8570.01-M Certifications. You must have, and maintain, one of the following baseline certifications:
-Acceptable IAT Level II Baseline Certifications: Security+ CE, CASP, CCNA Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GISCP, GSEC, GCED, GCIH, or, SSCP

-Must have basic Bash command line skills.
-Expertise in one or more programming languages and or scripting languages is required. This includes; Python, C, Java, JavaScript, C#, PHP, SQL, Bash, PowerShell.
-Strong system troubleshooting, and the ability to apply root cause analysis to determine hardware, software, network or configuration issues to identify the appropriate remediation.
-Firm understanding of RAID technologies and efficient storage of large datasets.
-Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership
-Requires a DoD Secret level of clearance
-Valid passport for at least 3 years.
-Ability to read, write and speak English
-Must be able to meet CENTCOM CRC medical minimum standards
-Must be able to meet deployment training minimum standards
-Must be able to work with customers and subcontractors in a professional manner

Desired Qualifications
Must have a qualifying Linux operating certification such as CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA or RHCSE prior to deployment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
