Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hardware Engineer in the Tucson Arizona area.   

The position will require a person that is responsible for performing design and development engineering assignments related to hardware products and systems which includes the development of new products and/or updates to existing products. 

These duties may include research, evaluation, development, and application of new processes and methods into products. 

This person may be responsible for establishing and conducting testing routines, developing or executing project plans, schedules, and documentation of work and results. This person will perform tasks with little or no guidance.  

This person has demonstrated knowledge in areas of engineering expertise. 

Be able apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.  

Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. 

Apply engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. He or she analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems. 

Develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines. He or she regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve functional objectives. 

Communicates with internal team members across multiple areas and government team members and may communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.).  

Works to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.

External Referral Eligible
EDUCATION: BS or BA degree in a systems engineering or an engineering/science field.
EXPERIENCE: At least ten (10) years of experience in an engineering or science field supporting the Tomahawk Weapons System (TWS) or another cruise missile weapon system.

Active Secret clearance with ability to be approved for a Top Secret clearance.
