The Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group of Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting the ARL-E program in Alexandria, VA. ARL-E is a multi-year program supporting the U.S. Army with upgrading and enhancing the ISR capabilities of their airborne reconnaissance fleet. The candidate will support and guide the system engineering of a cutting edge system to conduct airborne operations using ISR sensors and processing.

The Systems Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, integration, documentation, and testing of multiple hardware and software components and subsystems for an Airborne ISR system. The candidate will participate in the full development lifecycle; requirements analysis, documentation, design, development, and test and evaluation of the hardware and software components developed and delivered as part of the AISR program.

  • BS degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering or science or equivalent experience with less than 2 years prior experience in the defense industry and DoD ISR Systems
  • Knowledge and experience with DOORs for requirements development & maintenance
  • Knowledge of Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Familiarity with configuration management of hardware and software components for DoD Program of Record
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Sharepoint
  • SECURITY CLEARANCE: active DoD Secret-level clearance or higher preferred.  Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance required.
