The Health Products and Solutions Operation currently has an opening for a VTC Administrator to support a large healthcare contract in Rockville, MD. This position is contingent on contract award.
Conduct or review VTC installation requirements analyses; evaluate the VTC equipment installation and its capability to meet operational and organizational requirements; and conduct surveys at potential and existing installation sites to determine and document layout and conceptual alternatives, system options, and operational assessments;
Conduct or review VTC facility site surveys; identify facility layout, space considerations, cable conduit layout, and structural considerations; identify and review available power, physical, environmental, and security constraints; and identify the organization’s points of contact for supporting the facility layout, upgrade, operations, and maintenance;
Create and document an implementation plan including, but not limited to, a POA&M for the facility modernization/upgrade;
Prepare required project facility supporting documentation including, but not limited to, architectural plans, regulatory studies, and construction drawings;
Provide technical support at designated meetings with architect Contractors, construction Contractors, and facilities representatives that may be involved in the facility layout, modifications, and upgrade;
Conduct physical inventory of VTC system components and verify serial numbers and parts provided to the ITIO customer; and review all VTC system drawings and finalize prior to VTC system delivery, modifications and upgrades;
Coordinate installation schedules with relevant Government representatives and conduct a full systems acceptance verification with users to identify any functional discrepancies; and develop an After Action Report (AAR) and mitigate identified discrepancies with users prior to final signoff; and
Provide the receiving VTC system user with Final User Guides, Source Code, Manuals, Drawings, Equipment List, and Warranty Information.
Provide system operation support services for installed VTC systems. This includes COTS applications and VTC system unique training along with operation and maintenance support for GFE VTC systems including, but not limited to, hardware and software installation, removal, repair, and periodic verification of VTC system components. Specifically:
-Prepare and update Training Plans, Course Materials, Quick Reference Guides, and Materials for required system training;
-Define a course curriculum based on identified train the trainer and user training requirements;
-Provide course material for all trainers and class participants;
-Conduct training courses for new, modified or upgraded VTC systems;
-Conduct in-house, on-site, and ad-hoc training as required to support user training needs;
-Develop an Operation and Maintenance Procedures Manual for the VTC system;
-Provide support for identification of an operations and maintenance infrastructure to satisfy the organization and system operational and mission requirements;
-Implement operation and maintenance procedures for the VTC system;
-Provide support for on-call and/or on-site operations and maintenance support;
-Provide the ability to rapidly respond to user requests with available and certified VTC resources; and
-Conduct maintenance activities; support corrective maintenance solution, providing on-call support per established response time; and investigate and recommend maintenance and service agreements with vendors for outside services.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and eight (8) years of general experience. Six (6) years of general experience is considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. With a Master’s degree no experience is required.
3 + Years’ experience providing support for an enterprise-level environment running Cisco Unified Communication including advanced knowledge of:
• VTC Support for an enterprise-level environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must have knowledge of various AV technologies and software.
• Knowledge of Cisco Telepresence devices. Experience with Microsoft Office (Organizational Mailboxes and Calendars).
• Strong knowledge of UC & Network Protocols: SIP, MGCP, ISDN, DHCP, VLAN, CDP, LLDP
• Knowledge of GVS scheduling. Knowledge of ISDN and IP based conferencing.
• Experience with multicast on desktops (streaming audio/video), audio conferencing, point-to-point, and multipoint video conferencing.
• Must have superior communications skills and the ability to work professionally with all levels of an organization.
